How it works
Decode JPEG, PNG or WebP, fit inside maximum dimensions preserving aspect ratio, then re-encode as PNG/JPEG/WebP. Metadata is not explicitly copied.
Input definitions
- Select a file
- Select supported files from your device.
- Maximum width (px)
- Enter the value in the labeled unit.
- Maximum height (px)
- Enter the value in the labeled unit.
- Output format
- Choose image/png / image/jpeg / image/webp.
- Lossy quality (0.1–1)
- Enter the value in the labeled unit.
A worked example
- Maximum width (px)
- 1200
- Maximum height (px)
- 1200
- Output format
- image/png
- Lossy quality (0.1–1)
- 0.85
File outputs depend on the selected document. PDF extraction copies the inclusive page range; rotation applies the chosen clockwise angle. A 2400 × 1600 image fitted to 1200 × 1200 becomes 1200 × 800.
Assumptions & limits
Maximum 10 MiB per file, 20 MiB total, 10 PDF inputs, 200 PDF pages total, or 24 megapixels per image. Encrypted PDFs, forms, signatures and accessibility structure are not preserved or supported. Image orientation uses browser decoding; JPEG transparency becomes white. Cancel terminates processing; files stay on your device.

Common questions
Can I check the result before using it?
Compare the worked example with your inputs and use the stated method: Decode JPEG, PNG or WebP, fit inside maximum dimensions preserving aspect ratio, then re-encode as PNG/JPEG/WebP. Metadata is not explicitly copied.. Confirm input units and boundary choices before relying on the result.
How does the Resize and convert image tool work?
